In a moment of madness, we have decided to trek 100k over the Yorkshire Dales. We will be battling our way up hills and mountains, across rivers and gorges and probably in the rain and wind! To top it off, we have 30 hours to complete our task. Let's say we are 2 teams of 'mixed ability'. For the girls we have: Helen (I run marathons for fun) Gilchrist Helen (can I wear my Jimmy Choos?) Perrin Jenni (don't know about walk but she can certainly talk for 30 hours) Nicholls Leila (as long as we don't have to camp) Samara And for the boys: James (no you can't delegate the walk) Colegrave Russell Masding. A late addition to the team with less than 2 weeks to go. Extremely brave or extremely stupid, you decide! Will ('the traveller') Aitken. Does he seriously expect us to sleep in a camper van?! Paul (Do we get a pint of real ale at the end?) Enderby
We will also be supported by Sue King who will be giving up a night's sleep to feed us and spur us on on route. We are looking for further volunteers to help Sue out so don't be shy! Now for how you can help:
Between us we need to raise at least £3,000 (and hopefully much more) for Oxfam. Oxfam is dedicated to fighting poverty through emergency response, development work and campaigns for change leading to longer lasting results. If you would prefer to donate in person, please speak to one of our team members. Alternatively, donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Oxfam gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor us now!
