Welcome to Travers Smith's fundraising page for the CARE 24 Peaks Challenge. Described (admittedly on its own website) as "the UK's ultimate mountain challenge", this event takes in 24 Lake District peaks in a target time of 24 hours, including 8 of the 10 highest mountains in England, and is an important fundraising event for CARE International. More details of the challenge are here: www.carechallenge.org.uk/24peaks. Two Travers Smith teams are gamely dusting down their desk- and pub-honed physiques and heading to the Lakes on the weekend of 26-27 June 2010 to attempt the challenge. The teams are: Partners: Phil Sanderson, Kathleen Russ, Andrew Lilley, Paul Dolman, Sam Kay and Simon Skinner Assistants: James Renahan, Emma Pearce, Natalie Bell, Chris Flavin, Jeremy Dennison and Jamie Hamilton The challenge is run by, and accordingly we are fundraising for, CARE International, one of the world's top aid and development agencies, which works to help poor people all over the world both to recover from disasters and to improve their lives in the long term. More details of Care International can be found here - www.careinternational.org.uk - but in short it is a terrific charity and a very worthy cause. We, and CARE, would welcome any donation you feel able to give. We will repay you amply in sweat, blisters and thanks.
