My story

OK, the London Marathon is but a few days and I am leaving it a little late this year.  To be honest, the body has been creaking and I wasn't sure I would make it to the start next Sunday.  It's still creaking but I hope to be there for the first time in six years.

I'm raising funds for the RNLI on behalf of a friend, Maria who is undergoing chemotherapy treatment for a rare type of cancer. She is only in her fifties and is being very brave about her treatment.  She has raised money for this charity herself in the past.  I know any money I can raise will mean a lot to her, so I am grateful for any small amount of support you can offer.  Besides which, they do great work, are especially brave and arguably put their lives on the line with every rescue.

Thanks on behalf of Maria, the RNLI and of course myself.

Tim
