TRAILWALKER 2009
Thanks for visiting "The Cheetahs" fundraising page!
Trailwalker is a 100km trek for teams of four to complete in under 30 hours. The route follows the South Downs Way, starting in Petersfield and finishing inBrighton, so there will be plenty of big hills and blisters in store! The event began in 1981 as a military training exercise for the elite Queen's Gurkha Regiment inHong Kong. The Maclehose Trail – a 100 km trail from coast to coast – was used to test their soldiers’ stamina and teamwork skills. Our intention is to raise as much money as possible to help to improve the lives of others. The beneficiaries include, the Gurkha Welfare Trust, and the Army Benevolent Fund who provide support to serving soldiers, former soldiers and their families in times of need, and Oxfam. So please sponsor us now! Julianne, Joanna, Aifric and Ruairí
