Simon, Dom and Steve are running the Royal Parks Half Marathon on 11 October to raise money for the charity for sports people: SportsAid. By working closely with the National Governing Bodies (NGB’s), SportsAid has a well established and proven process ensuring that young sportsmen and women that require help get it when they need it most. On average each athlete spends nearly £5,000 per year on equipment, training, travel and all of the other essentials that are required to compete at the top level. Intervention at such a crucial time is often the difference between a young sports person continuing in their chosen sport or quitting. Past recicients include Dame Kelly Holmes, Sir Steve Redgrave and Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson (many years before they became household names) Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and secure. It’s the most efficient way to sponsor us. Sportsaid gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid and a 3% supplement are added to your donation.
If you can spare some cash for this great cause, we'd be very grateful, and even more so when the run is all over!
