It's an awfully long way y'know...
On 13 April 2008, I completed the Flora London Marathon. I managed the 26-odd-mile in 4:47:13, despite losing control of my knees at around about the 17-mile mark. Really.
I gained my place on this year's Marathon via the ballot (what's that?) but decided to run for the National Deaf Children's Society (NDCS) and I'd really like to get a bit closer to my fundraising target.
So, now that you've seen me crawl across the line, heard all about my gammy ankle and chuckled at the degree of concentration on my face during the last few hundred metres (see left), d'you think you could part with that cash you promised?!
About my chosen charity...
The National Deaf Children's Society is the national charity dedicated to creating a world without barriers for deaf children and young people. Read more at the NDCS website.
About your donation...
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me - the National Deaf Children's Society will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

And finally...
Thanks for the many messages of support in the days leading up to the race as well as to those who braved the wind and rain to support me on the day. Couldn't have done it without y'all!
