CBM is an international charity that was founded in 1908 to provide treatment, support and rehabilitation to people living in poverty with blindness, deafness or a disability. We work in more than 100 countries, and with over 1,000 projects in collaboration with local partners, we are able to reach more than 18 million people each year.

My personal message:

Every 5 seconds one person in the world goes blind, and a child goes blind every minute. 75% of all blindness is avoidable, either preventable or treatable. 90% of all avoidable blindness occurs in the developing countries. VISION 2020: The Right to Sight is a global initiative which aims to help eliminate avoidable blindness by the year 2020.

Any money you donate to CBM through this site will go towards CBM's Vision 2020 initiative. After working for CBM I know how much fantastic work the charity does and I can guarantee your money will go to great use!
