About our charity : Farmers Overseas Action Group Farmers Overseas Action Group
The Farmers Overseas Action Group, FOAG, is an independent charity whose mission is to aid social and economic development in Uganda’s rural communities. FOAG provides support to 12 projects in four key sectors; health, education, economic empowerment and the environment, with the overall goal of alleviating poverty. FOAG concentrates on small scale constructive action for community development through the funding of innovative projects that are often too small for the objectives of larger international charities. FOAG was founded in 1981 by a nucleus of Worcestershire farming families to practically address the needs of Uganda’s agricultural development. The core group has expanded over the years and is now supported by an ever increasing number of Associate Members and organisations. FOAG works in a direct and personal way and ensures that all projects are monitored on a regular basis. (www.foag.co.uk)

Our personal message:

The Farmers Overseas Action Group, FOAG, is an independent charity whose mission is to aid social and economic development in Uganda’s rural communities.  FOAG provides support to 12 projects in four key sectors; health, education, economic empowerment and the environment, with the overall goal of alleviating poverty.  FOAG concentrates on small scale constructive action for community development through the funding of innovative projects that are often too small for the objectives of larger international charities.

The FOAG management team is predominantly made up of experienced and committed volunteers and consequently has very low administration costs with only 8% of our funding going towards administrative functions compared with a much higher sector average.  This enables us to ensure to ensure that every donation made on this page will go directly to FOAg's projects in Uganda.

Thank you very much for your support and if you would like to know more about FOAG then please visit www.foag.co.uk
