My story
On 1 November this year I am running the New York Marathon to raise money for Sparks Children’s Medical Research Charity and the British Heart Foundation – both brilliant charities.
My aim is to raise £5k which is a massively tall order particularly in this economic climate. But I’m confident that with the support of friends, family and colleagues, I can reach this fundraising target. It would make a difference to those charities and frankly make a huge difference to me knowing I have your backing. Distance running isn’t something which comes naturally to me and even though I’ve given up the cigarettes (again!) every training run is a struggle.
The marathon itself will be a huge personal challenge please sponsor me either by sending a cheque made out to British Heart Foundation or Sparks, or better still by visiting one of these two websites:
