The British Red Cross helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are. We are part of a global voluntary network, responding to conflicts, natural disasters and individual emergencies.

We have 33,000 dedicated volunteers across the UK who give their time to help those caught up in emergencies ranging from the summer 2007 floods and the London bombings to personal crises such as traffic accidents, house fires or stays in hospital.
