I can't quite believe I have a place in the London Marathon 2009!

However, whilst fulfilling one of my dreams (albeit ten years later than my "things to do before I am thirty" dream!!) I am of course raising money for charity.

My chosen charity is Asthma UK, and with whom I have pledged to raise £1500 - a challenge I willingly accept.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Asthma UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

I thank firstly, my very supportive husband, without whom this would not have been possible.

Thanks also to each and every one of my close friends, family and new supporters for donating to this worthy cause and your constant words of inspiration and encouragement.

Wish me luck, and I will be the one with the biggest smile on my face when I cross the finishing line!
