I know that Save the Children will be very grateful for whatever sponsorship you feel you can give. Training was going really well - up to 20 miles and 2 completed half marathons under 2 hours! - but unfortunately I suffered an injury about three weeks ago. I had a scan last week and it has revealed that I have a stress fracture - this will take 6 weeksish to heal. It is therefore highly unlikely that i'll be able to participate in the marathon either by running or by walking - not enough time! This is not about me - it's about Save the Children - but I am 'gutted' at the moment as you can believe! So, for those who have sponsored me - thanks - you can rest assured that I did try my best - am still keeping up the fitness just in case I heal at a faster rate than I have been advised!
