Our personal message:

Hi All,

Believe it or not I'm running a half marathon, with Tom my oldest son, this Sunday!

As you can see from the picture my training at altitude and sea level in South Africa recently has been great fun but completely ineffective!!

All donations will go to THE HAPPY FUND which was started by 4 ex pat guys working in Suzhou in China, who decided to help the local orphanage.

ALL donations go direct to the point of use with no admin costs whatsoever. THE HAPPY FUND pays for carers to be with the children 24/7, operations for treatable illnesses etc.

They really save lives and a little money goes a long way in China, a cleft pallet operation costs only £366, a heart operation only £2000 !! The CEO of Worldmark and his wife recently donated all their wedding gifts to contribute £5000 to the fund and many other people are also doing extraordinary things to help. Please make a donation to help the good work go on and have the pleasure of knowing I'll be suffering to earn it!! Thanks so much for your support, Best Wishes, Rod. P.S. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Hope for Children will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
