About my charity :

Epilepsy Bereaved
Help us work towards the prevention of 3 seizure related deaths a day in the UK. Since we formed ten years ago, Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP) has been recognised by both government and clinicians, resulting in general agreement regarding ways to reduce the risks. We provide a specialist service; informing and educating, promoting and funding research into SUDEP and providing a specialist support service for those bereaved by SUDEP.

This run is dedecated to Lauren Weatherley

The charity name is Epilepsy Bereaved.

After some bad news from one of my work colleagues, I decided to do it for his chosen charity.
The news broke one morning that Chris’s teenage daughter had suddenly passed away after a seizure the cause of which was one of many in the UK not just in young people (as was sadly the case in this instance) but also Adults not widely recognized the charity name is Epilepsy Bereaved.

Epilepsy Bereaved was founded in 1993 as a self-help group. It became a charity in 1995 because of an overwhelming lack of information and action to reduce epilepsy-related deaths. Epilepsy Bereaved was the first organization in the UK and internationally to champion the SUDEP cause and is the leading organization worldwide on this issue.
Please donate generously every penny counts towards for this charity for ongoing research and eventually a hopeful cure.
