About my charity : Marie Curie Cancer Care Marie Curie Cancer Care
Marie Curie Cancer Care provides high quality nursing totally free, to give terminally ill people the choice of dying at home supported by their families. Your local Marie Curie Hospice actively promotes quality of life for people with cancer and provides support for their families. The services are completely free to patients. World class scientists at the Marie Curie Research Institute are investigating how cancer develops to find better ways of treating the disease in the future.

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Between Saturday 16th May and Friday 29th May 2009 I will be on a solo cycle ride from John O'Groats to Land's End, camping and staying in youth hostels along the way. In the process, I hope to raise some money for Marie Curie Cancer Care, since a number of close family members and friends have benefited from this care while suffering with cancer. Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Marie Curie Cancer Care gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation. All money donated will go straight to the charity as I am funding the trip myself.

UPDATE: FINAL FUNDRAISING UPDATE -12th July For those of you who aren't aware, I finished my John O'Groats - Land's End rid on Thursday 28th May after 11 and 1/2 days cycling. And my fingertips are still numb. A big thank you to all who sponsored me - £1853 raised for Marie Curie Cancer Care is a massive result. Diolch yn fawr iawn i bawb ar gyfer eich cymorth!
