Mark ran the london marathon last year for bliss, this was the first marathon I had done. I only started training seriously in the January and hadn't done any running /form of exercise since leaving school.

Andy started running a couple of years ago and ran in 2006 in his first marathon for charity.

We are both part of Gade Valley Running Club in Hemel and met that way and now we are both running the marathon for the same charity!

This year we are both be running for the BRITISH HEART FOUNDATION

Mark is running for this charity this year because coming up to 3 years ago my mum sadly passed away due to a heart condition, so this charity is very important to me, she wasn't around when I took up running and would never have believed that I could have run accross the road let a lone the marathon!!!!. So I am running this year in her memory...

Andy is running for BHF because his Dad had triple heart bypass surgery last year and wanted to give something back to help others going through the same things. I also want to help the BHF to continue the support they give to patients, and also to say thanks for the help and support the BHF gave me and my family when my Dad was preparing, going through and (thankfully) recovering from his operation.
