We are running the Flora London Marathon 2008 and are hoping to raise £100,000 which will be split evenly between three terrific causes, as listed below:

·      Great Ormond Street Hospital – One of the world’s leading children’s hospitals that deals with over 150,000 patients every year, many of whom face life-threatening or life-limiting conditions. Many of its patients and families continue to be treated in crowded and uncomfortable conditions, lacking privacy and falling short of what families and staff deserve. The hospital is seeking to raise £50 million to fund its activities and on-going re-development project (www.gosh.org);

·      The Aga Khan Foundation – A non-denominational, international development agency that seeks to develop and promote creative solutions to problems that impede social development, primarily in Asia and East Africa. Its major areas of focus are health, education, rural development, civil society and environmental projects in the Third World (www.akdn.org/agency/akf.html);

·      Chance to Shine – The biggest, single sports development initiative ever undertaken in the UK that seeks to introduce competitive cricket to some of the most deprived schools around the country. Its aim is to undertake programmes in over a third of the schools across the UK, reaching two million children, over the next ten years. It is seeking to raise £25m from voluntary donations, with every pound raised matched by the Government through the National Sports Foundation (www.chancetoshine.org).
