My story

WELCOME to the Lumley's Lads fundraising page.

Trailwalker challenges teams of four to complete 100km on foot in less than 30 hours - from Petersfield to Brighton along the South Downs Way.

Let's cut to the chase. We did it in...

17 hours and 47 minutes!

480 teams of four set out. We came 35th.

Lumley's Lads -  Rob Gray, Hugh Bonneville, Johannes Wassenberg and Tom Boam -  are proud to be raising money for Oxfam and The Gurkha Welfare Trust and we're honoured that actress, campaigner and national treasure, Joanna Lumley OBE, has agreed to lend her name to our team. Joanna has worked tirelessly on behalf of the Gurkhas and we're thrilled to have her support in this way.

Fundraising began with a pre-release screening of Hugh's latest movie, FRENCH FILM, at Cineworld Chichester, sponsored by P&O Cruises, which raised £4,000. Thank you to everyone who came along and made it such an enjoyable event. Hugh's talk in April about his relationship with Jane Austen (!), at Chelmsford County High School For Girls, raised a further £115. Thank you, ladies!

You've read this far, so why not click on SPONSOR US NOW and follow the instructions? And don't forget to Gift Aid if you're eligible; it means our charities will benefit even more from your generosity.

Thanks again.

Rob, Hugh, Johannes & Tom
