Finished in 2:08:37 (my timing, more hills than expected!), official time was just over 2:09 due to not individual timers! Thanks again to all those who contributed, means a lot to me. Articles in newspapers (Wednesday 2 July 2008) report that a predicted 79% per cent of children diagnosed with the commonest type of leukaemia in 1990 will survive. Yet it is well documented that survival rates for children have been increasing year on year thanks to high quality research by charities such as Leukaemia Research, the UK’s leading blood cancer charity.
I'll be running the Dartford half marathon on 20th July for Leukaemia Research. Last time I raised about £240 and hopefully will raise just as much if not more this time
Usual lack of planning with only 2 weeks to go! Apparently there is a hill between mile 9 and 10 for the whole mile (I've seen one or two comments about it cough!) Just giving automatically reclaim 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement from the government, on every eligible donation.
