*Update*  On sunday 22 April I managed to complete the 26.2miles of the London Marathon in 2hours 57minutes and 23 seconds, achieving 704th place overall - not bad for someone with short legs!

Thanks to everyone who supported me, and here's why I did it: -

This cause is very close to my heart having lost my mum to cancer over 15 years ago and I have recently lost both my grandfathers to this disease.  I want to give back something to a charity which has helped others not suffer from this horrid disease and the thought of the bonus payments for breaking 3 hours kept me going in the last few miles!

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cancer Research UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

I will keep this site open for another month to see if I can now push up to £3,000, so please sponsor me now!
