Asthma UK is the charity dedicated to improving the health and well-being of over 5 million people in the UK who have asthma. We work with people with asthma, healthcare professionals and researchers to develop and share expertise to help people increase their understanding and reduce the effect of asthma on their lives. Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
I feel that is important to share with you my reasons for running the
Marathon to raise money for Asthma . Asthma is a very common disease with 1 in 12 adults and 1 in 10 children suffering from Asthma in the UK (5.2 million people). Asthma is a hereditary disease. In my family, my grandad, mother, aunt, sister, me and my son all suffer from Asthma. My mother has suffered with chronic Asthma since she was a child and her life has been severely affected by the disease. Our son Jude was recently diagnosed as asthmatic and I am obviously keen to ensure his life isn’t affected in the same way. The work of charities like Asthma UK fund vital research and provide essential advice to the sufferers of this potential fatal disease.
