My story
In May 2012 I'll be travelling over to Peru where I will be climbing to Machu Picchu for Action For Children. Over 10 days I'll be climbing to heights of 7,970 ft, tackling high altitudes & trying to overcome my fear of llamas. It's going to be tough, but I'll be dragging myself along to the gym for plenty of training beforehand, joy! Any support you can give will be much appreciated. This includes constant reminders for me to get off my bum & onto the running machine.
I chose to take on this challenge for Action For Children as they are an amazing charity that helps around 200,000 children & families across the UK. Having grown up in a single parent family that lived below the poverty line myself, this is a charity that is very close to my heart.
Action For Children helps children living in poverty, children with disabilities, children who are subjected to abuse and children living in care, to name but a few. I would like to help Action For Children tackle these issues with the money I raise & help young people have a happier start in life.
