Unfortunetly the thailand trip has been cancelled due to someone dropping out of the challenge, we have tried to find a trip we could both do together but haven't been successfull. Jo will be getting a refund for her deposit and I (Hayley) will now be doing the Great Wall discovery challenge on the 26/06/2010 - 04/07/2010. Here is a little information about what you are sponsoring us to do and why we are doing it for this charity. I am now going to be treking the great wall of china! Even though it is going to be one amazing adventure we have to dedicate a lot of time and effort into raising the money to go and help our desired charity, but we also have to go through a whole training routine at least 24 weeks before we go. Now, you might be thinking what made us decide to take on such a huge task? Well not only will we be raising money for a good cause but we are doing it in memory of our Dad. He died 15 years ago and while on the trip it will be the 16th anniversary on the 4th December. He suffered from depression since his Father’s death when he was just 16 and finally committed suicide in 1993. Although we want to do this in memory of him, we want to help raise awareness of metal health conditions and have chosen Sane as our desired charity. SANE help raise awareness of mental health, help people with these conditions and also help their families. SANE depend on people to donate to the charity in order for them to carry out their work. We hope that you will still help us to raise as much as we can for the charity. We thank everyone for all there help to date in reaching our target. Although it will now only be me (Hayley) going on the challenge due to our original trip being cancelled and not being able to find a date to do together due to personal commitments.
