My story

We did it!  It was a lot harder than we all imagined, but after teeing off at 5am in Wales we finally finished in Scotland at 8pm.  The feeling on the 18th green was a mixture of relief and also a great sense of achievement.

Thank you to everyone who helped us in making this day possible and a very big thank you to all who sponsored us.  We are very proud to have raised so much money for a great cause.

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

On Monday June 21 we are embarking on a golf challenge with a difference.  As part of the Macmillan Longest Day Golf event we are attempting to play a round of golf in Wales, England and Scotland all in the space of 24 hours.

As cancer impacts upon so many people, it is probably not unsurprising that all four of us have been affected by this disease in the past (through members of our families), so we all felt impelled to do something about it and raise some money for Macmillan.  The work Macmillan does to help patients and families affected by cancer is remarkable, and hopefully we can raise a significant amount of money to help them in their day-to-day activities.

So please help us to raise some money towards this fine charity.  We know times are hard, but any contribution is welcome and you really will be supporting a worthy cause.
