" Helecoptered into the jungle, build your own shelter, trek through rainforest, paddle down tropical rivers, ride the rapids on your team-built raft and climb 4100 metres up Mount Kinabalu, the highest mountain in South East Asia in the ultimate team adventure race - The Kinabalu Challenge 2007. "
No, I've no idea what I'm letting myself in for! But hopefully watching the sun rise on the final day from the top of Mount Kinabalu will make it all worthwhile.
Myself and the three others that make up Team Deloitte will be doing our best to beat the other eleven teams in the heat and humidity of the Borneo jungle. Of course, it's all in the name of charity and the one I have chosen to fundraise for is Medecins Sans Frontieres, an international organisation providing emergency medical aid to some of the most needy regions around the world. So please dig deep, every pound makes a difference and Deloitte has kindly pledged to match contributions for the first £500 raised.
Many thanks for your support.
Eddie
P.S. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Médecins Sans Frontières UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. Furthermore, for the first £500 raised, Deloitte will match your donation.
For those of you who would rather not make payments online you can send me a cheque which I will forward to MSF. Please e-mail me at edjohnson@deloitte.co.uk for details.
