The effort required in training for the race and the race itself will be dedicated to my father, David Violet, well known and respected by many in and around the Bridport area. Dad suffered with a heart condition for many years and despite undergoing a quadruple heart bi-pass operation, died not long after, just 4 years ago this April. My 48 yr old brother-in-law John Boyce, has recently benefited from the work of British Heart Foundation (BHF), having suffered a heart attack, which required surgery at Papworth hospital to install a stent. Thankfully he is making a good recovery and has nothing but his utmost admiration for the work that the BHF do. 4yr old nephew Cade Adams also has a heart condition, which will more than likely involve surgery when the abnormal narrowing of the blood vessels to the heart, starts to affect him.
Thanks to Trull Troggers, in particular, founder members, Sandra & Brian North, for their help and guidance in my preparation to complete the marathon distance.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has donated so generously to such an important cause, I couldn't have done it without your support!! Thank you.... And also to my Dad, for making me as determined to do something as well as he would have done it. http://www.brightroom.com/estf.asp?EVENTID=34924&PWD=&BIB=42842 Click on link above to view my race photos. Please keep more hearts beating! Thank You ... Denis
