My story
Hey guys!
Thank you so much for visiting my sponsorship page x
Nursing a pair of very sore knees, I stumbled across the finish line in 6 hours 43 minutes, knocking 27 minutes off the world record of 'Fastest Marathon in Fireman's Uniform' set last year. Unfortunately two very burly firefighters crossed the line first, making me the fastest non-firefighting firefighter in the world to run a marathon... okay so I'm perhaps clutching at straws now a little bit now!!
I ran the course for two fantastic charities - the M S Society, for the mum of a best friend, and the Fire Fighters Charity - in full firefighter kit consisting of helmet, tunic, leggings, steel toe capped boots and a 15kg breathing apparatus cylinder on my back .
The great news that there is still time to donate through this site to raise money for two brilliant causes - my fundraising target is £1500 so please sponsor me as much or as little as you can afford - every bit helps.
