Hello and welcome to my fundraising page where I'll be running my first ever London Marathon for Cystic Fibrosis. This is a charity that is close to my heart (and lungs, and pancreas and digestive system since I actually HAVE Cystic Fibrosis) and I really do want to do those with CF proud and I really hope I help make life a lot better for those with CF who aren't as fortunate as myself to be fit and healthy. For more information go to: www.cftrust.org.uk www.livelifethengivelife.co.uk www.uktransplant.org.uk Once again, thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cystic Fibrosis Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support and here's to finding a cure! Craig Jones 10th March UPDATE: This is possibly the best early birthday present I could ever get! You guys and girls have helped me and supported me so much and to not only hit my target, but surpass it by an extra £100+ is truly astonishing! I never thought that I could raise this much before and as much as the running was scary, raising the funds for my minimum pledge was even more daunting. You have all been incredibly supportive and that only echoes through the messages you leave me. Some of you may have also noticed I was in the local press recently (http://www.yourlocalguardian.co.uk/sport/headlinesport/display.var.2092794.0.craigs_brave_marathon_bid.php) So please do check it out and pass on the message. I'm doing this not just for myself, but for anyone who has been affected with CF. For those who are waiting on lung transplant lists, for those who suffer the physiotherapy and anguish of not being able to live a life like I have been fortunate to have. I'm doing this for you guys and girls! Thanks once again for all your support! You're all amazing!! 10th April UPDATE: Well, this has truly been a hard, arduous journey where I've discovered that there are a lot of very generous people who'd willingly give their hard earned to a 23 year old man who they don't even know and have never and probably never will meet. You have all been truly incredible and much MUCH more of an inspiration as some of you say that I am. I'm really just a normal person with something a little different about me. All of you who have pledged, raised, sponsored and supported me over the past 4 months I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you all for spreading the word, telling your friends, family, business partners, associates, chums, well wishers and aquaintances. THANK YOU!! Thanks to those who organised events & sweepstakes, flooded e-mail addresses and websites, for letting me fill important column inches in the press and on websites, for winding me up and keeping my spirits up during the horrible Winter nights. You are all way too kind and to the sum of over £3,000 towards helping those with Cystic Fibrosis, you've made a young man truly humble and grateful. Here's to finishing 26.2 of the hardest and most amazing miles of my life! Here to you!!! CJ.
