Well, I'm taking the plunge, having decided that if I don't do it this year, I'll never do it.
So despite my increasing age, and the fact that my adorable children never let me get a night's uninterrupted sleep, I am going to attempt to run 26.2 miles through London in April... (nobody said non-stop).
I am raising money for Macmillan Cancer Relief and would really love it if you could sponsor me generously for this amazing effort, bearing in mind I've never run more than 6 miles before!
As you all know, Nick and I had a wonderful Macmillan nurse called Liz who helped us through his illness and death. These nurses do an incredible job and I hope that any family who has to go through what we did will have their own Liz.
Nick always said you could do anything if you really put your mind to it - so in honour of him, this is what I'm going to do. The effort it will take to get me round that course will be nothing compared to the effort Nick made to beat his cancer and, when he knew he couldn't, to keep us all laughing right up to the end. He'd be laughing now if he could see this!
Please encourage me by donating generously. If you'd like to keep track of my progress, you can read my diary on www.justgiving.com/process/raisemoney
