Thanks for visiting the Cardnet Ben Nevis Challenge fundraising page. Lloyds TSB Staff, their families and suppliers successfully climbed Britain's highest mountain in aid of Lloyds TSB Local Heroes on Sunday 7th June led by Bernie Hollywood, Jonathan Dilnot & Kevin Coles.
At the peak of their endeavour the group hope to enter the Guinness Book of Records. They took along the latest mobile card processing terminal with a set of step ladders to the 4409 foot summit and completed the UK's highest land-based card transaction taken for a charity donation.
Fundraising efforts will support the Lloyds TSB Local Heroes programme which provides funding to 250 emerging young sportspeople identified each year from local communities across Britain on their journey to London 2012 and beyond.
Many hundreds of athletes will benefit from this funding to help with the costs of their travel, equipment and training. Lloyds TSB works in partnership with SportsAid on identifying this talent of tomorrow.
The SportsAid Charity focuses on providing much needed grants to youngsters aged 12 to 18, from 50 able-bodied and 25 disability sports.
