| Our personal message: |
In keeping with my experience in London, it's taken a little longer than expected to get here again and update this.
It's fair to say I hated every minute of the last 2 hours of that run. Really.
But, nothing was going to allow me to stop and the fear of being overtaken by a giant lemon, Spiderman, a member of Boyzone or Gordon Ramsay, not to mention failing to beat my boss's PB and forfeiting bragging rights, combined with not wanting to let down everyone who has supported me and shown their belief in me through their generous donations, kept me going up to and barely over the line.
Finishing was more relief than I have ever felt - in fact it beats into second place the relief felt in Florence when I managed to make it back to the youth hostel against all odds before the dodgy local water I'd drunk left me via mini-tsunami.
Anyway, job done. There's still cash to come in, so I hope to sail past the £3k.
It's been emotional.
Oh yes, and 3 hrs 47.32. It really didn't matter.
Thank you all.
Here comes the blurb...
