Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Thanks in particular to everyone who has supported me so far. Following a third injury to my left ankle I have had to call this walk to a halt. Your generosity has provided MSF with far more than the original £1,000 I hoped to raise - money they will put to good use helping tose who need it most across the world. Please continue to donate if that was your original intention - MSF can make good use of the money. I planned to walk from Dover to Cape Wrath - a distance of 1,054 miles starting at Easter 2008. The whole distance to be coverd on long-distance footpaths including all or part of: The North Downs Way, The Thames Walkway, The Grand Union Canal, The Limestone Way, The Pennine Way, St Cuthberts Way, The Leith Walkway, The Union Canal, The Kelvin Walkway, The West Highland Way and The Cape Wrath Trail (plus a few short bits of some others). More details about me and the walk at http://thousandplus.org , including a blog of my progress. The original plan was to do this in two months but the recurrent ankle injury has meant that I first had to do it in sections, and finally stop altogether before the damage became permanent. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Médecins Sans Frontières UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support. Andy N
