About my charity : Guide Dogs Guide Dogs
The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of blind and partially sighted people never leave home alone. Guide Dogs empowers visually impaired people to do that and relies totally on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service. We breed and train guide dogs which provide life changing mobility and there are currently 4,500 working guide dog partnerships in the UK. The full lifetime cost of a guide dog from birth to retirement is £48,500. We will not rest until blind and partially sighted people can enjoy the same freedom of movement as everyone else. Hello! Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me for Guide Dogs. This is the most efficient way for me to raise money for the BBC Radio Leeds Pound for a Pup appeal. We're funding five guide dogs in West Yorkshire. Your donation will really make a difference and every single penny helps.

I've already raised £560 for Guide Dogs doing the Great North Run on Tyneside in September - that's a half marathon. The London Marathon on April 18th 2004 is the full 26 miles, with the added catch that I'm wearing a tail and ears (seriously)!! Please give as much as you can. If you're a UK taxpayer your donation will be increased by almost a third at no cost to you.
